Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then she became an anchor in the morning and a reporter for WCBD TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reports regarding the police's lenient approach towards DUI cases led to the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to state authorities re-issuing an even more strict directive on these instances.
